Evening Safari at Jhirna. I was keen on clicking birds while wife was interested in sighting elephants - she was disappointed with not having spotted them during the morning Safari.

After successful birding, as we were heading out of the forest in the evening, the jeep driver heard about a tiger sighting and turned back. While we did not see the tiger, I did do the second big spotting (after the tigeress at Ranthambore) of my wildlife photography spree.

Nothing less than a herd of Wild Elephants crossing through a dried river bed! It was interesting to find out that elephants throw mud on themselves to protect their tough bodies from mere insects...

Having said that, I did spot and click a tiger at Dhikala, Jim Corbett, the very next day!
