Shekhar Govindarajan

I am a professional techie and an amateur photographer. Though I had been wanting to start photography for a while, I didn't until I got my first DSLR, a Canon 550D, on 10th December 2011 -- a gift from my wife. Armed with this gift and Sharat Jain's lens and advice on wildlife photography, I set out on my first wildlife trip to Ranthambore.

And I tasted blood at this very first trip when I spotted a Tigress -- Ranthambore's T-17 ensured that there was no going back for me on wildlife photography.

I'm still learning. I have the advice, suggestions and company of friends and my wife, who tags along with me for birding even on sunny afternoons, encourages me to go on trips and even helped me with this website. She, too, finds wildlife interesting -- at least she claims that she has started to identify birds.
